Manik Saha, the Chief Minister of Tripura, has taken personal initiative to ensure advanced medical care for 22-month-old Manasree Choudhury. The toddler was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) Type 1, a rare and life-threatening neuromuscular disorder. Her treatment is expected to cost approximately Rs 18 crore.
Following the Chief Minister's directives, Tripura Bhawan in New Delhi has mobilized resources. They are actively coordinating with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to facilitate a timely medical evaluation and establish a comprehensive treatment plan for Manasree.
CM Saha emphasized the state government's commitment to citizen welfare, especially in critical health emergencies. He stated that the government is fully dedicated to supporting Manasree's family and providing all necessary administrative and logistical assistance during her treatment at AIIMS.
The resident commissioner and other officials at Tripura Bhawan are closely monitoring the situation. They are maintaining constant communication with both the AIIMS doctors and Manasree's family to ensure a smooth and effective treatment process.
