Beyoncé and Solange Lift Mom's Spirits Before Breast Cancer Surgery

In 2024, fashion designer and author Tina Knowles, now 71 years old, was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. Before undergoing surgery to treat the cancer in her left breast, Knowles shared a special moment with her daughters, Beyoncé and Solange Knowles.

Knowles recently discussed this emotional experience at the 27th Annual Angel Ball in New York City. She revealed that right before being wheeled into surgery, Beyoncé and Solange sang a gospel song called "Walk With Me," which Knowles absolutely loves. This uplifting performance from her girls left Knowles "laughing and feeling so blessed, like everything was going to be okay."

Knowles also mentioned that her daughters had been supportive throughout her cancer journey. In her memoir, Matriarch, released earlier this year, Knowles wrote about how Beyoncé "took it well, staying positive," while Solange assured her, "Mom, we are going to take care of this." With the added support of Knowles' bonus daughters, Kelly Rowland and her niece Angie Beyince, she felt her family had become her "team" during this challenging time.
