Sue Radford, known from 22 Kids and Counting, has provided a hopeful update on her daughter Tillie's health. The 16-year-old has been recovering from a significant 10-hour knee reconstruction and leg lengthening surgery performed in September. This complex procedure addressed a leg length discrepancy caused by a bone infection from when she was 18 months old.
After a month of intense physiotherapy and recovery, Tillie is making remarkable progress. Her mother shared on Instagram that Tillie has had a rod removed from below her knee and is now able to regain movement. The surgeon is pleased with her recovery and confirmed she is more than halfway through the leg lengthening process.
Despite the positive developments, Tillie's journey has included challenges, such as severe pain requiring a 1:30 am call to Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Previously, Tillie expressed aspirations of becoming a figure skater, although she has faced anxieties related to her condition and public embarrassment.
