Telford Hospital Faces Parking Nightmare
14 Feb
Summary
- A multi-storey car park is being planned for Princess Royal Hospital.
- Parking at the hospital has been described as an 'absolute joke'.
- More short-term parking spaces will be available next week.

Plans for a multi-storey car park at Telford's Princess Royal Hospital are in their early stages, according to health officials from The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH). These proposals were revealed during a recent meeting.
The exact location and capacity of the potential car park remain undecided, and it has not yet received planning permission. SaTH is collaborating with Telford and Wrekin Council on this initiative.
In the interim, more parking spaces are expected to be introduced near the Ironbridge Suite within the next week. Despite these short-term measures, current parking conditions at the hospital have been strongly criticized by local representatives, who described them as a significant problem requiring urgent attention.
Discussions also touched upon enhancing public transport options and encouraging staff to utilize a park-and-ride service at AFC Telford United's ground.
