A Holi celebration in Bhopal took a tragic turn when a 26-year-old teaching faculty member, Krishna Nayak, died under suspicious circumstances on Wednesday. Nayak, who taught Computer Science at a private college, was celebrating Holi with students at a flat in the Aishbagh area. He reportedly consumed bhang at home, having mixed six tablets in milk, and also brought bhang for the students. The celebration continued at the students' flat where bhang was consumed by all present. Nayak began feeling unwell around 4 pm and retired to a separate room. By 7 pm, his condition had critically deteriorated, prompting the students to rush him to a hospital. He succumbed to his illness during treatment. Family members stated Nayak had consumed bhang since morning, while students indicated he served everyone but consumed multiple glasses himself.
