- The patients, aged 31 and 33, worked in humanitarian aid for three months.
- They were transferred to Sacco Hospital in Milan for urgent treatment.

Two Italian citizens have been hospitalized in Milan with suspected Ebola symptoms, raising health concerns in Europe.
The 31-year-old man and 33-year-old woman, both volunteers who had spent three months providing humanitarian aid in Uganda, began exhibiting symptoms including high fever, nausea, and vomiting upon their return to Italy approximately 24 hours prior to the report.
They were promptly transferred to Sacco Hospital in Milan for urgent treatment, with one patient potentially requiring intensive care. Both individuals had been in areas of Uganda near the borders with the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, regions currently under close observation due to a surge in Ebola cases.
Regional welfare minister Guido Bertolaso confirmed that seven Italian citizens from two families returned from Uganda. While two showed immediate symptoms, it remains unclear if other family members traveling with them are affected. Health advice from the NHS recommends immediate medical attention for anyone experiencing such symptoms after traveling to Ebola-affected regions.
