Hazell Wilson's resilience shines through her journey of recovery following a blood cancer diagnosis in 2021 and a subsequent life-altering stroke. The stroke dramatically impacted her speech and mobility, confining her to her home and reshaping her daily life. However, Wilson harbored a strong desire to return to a cherished location: the clifftops at Palm Bay.
Working with physiotherapist Harry Hopkins from the Kent Community Health Foundation Trust, a comprehensive care plan was developed. The primary objective was to restore Wilson's independence and enable her to achieve her goal. The prospect of regaining the ability to travel by car felt daunting but ultimately served as a powerful motivator for Wilson to take charge of her future.
