Broadway Star Battles Stage 4 Colon Cancer
15 Mar
Summary
- Diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that spread to the liver.
- Undergoing chemotherapy while preparing for a half marathon.
- Encouraging earlier colonoscopies due to rising cases in young adults.

In December 2025, a Broadway stage manager received a stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis, which had progressed to her liver. Initially angry and frustrated by the news shortly before a Broadway show rehearsal and a half marathon, her mindset quickly shifted to problem-solving.
Breaking the news to her family in Arkansas was particularly challenging. Her treatment plan, beginning in January 2026, involves IV chemotherapy every three weeks and daily oral medication, carefully managed to allow her to continue working and running.
She has faced significant side effects, including fatigue, nausea, and hand, foot, and mouth disease, which causes sores and severe neuropathy. Despite the physical toll, including extreme cold sensitivity and difficulty walking, she is determined to push through.
Her partner and parents provide crucial support. She is scheduled to take her last dose of medication for the current cycle on the morning of the NYC Half Marathon, an event she is excited to run through her "stomping ground" in the Theater District.
At 35, she is sharing her story to encourage earlier colonoscopies, as colon cancer rates are increasing in younger adults. She emphasizes that while cancer is part of her life, it does not define her entire existence.
