In a significant act of community service, more than 100 employees of the Andhra Non-Gazetted Government Officers (APNGOs) contributed blood for patients at the government medical college in Srikakulam. The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Pensioners Joint Action Committee Chairman Chowdary Purushottam Naidu and industrialist Sura Srinivasa Rao, founder of SSR Trust. They also distributed fruits to the donors.
Mr. Rao highlighted that the donated blood would be vital for patients from poor and middle-class families, offering them a lifeline as they struggle to afford blood from private banks. He announced that the SSR Trust intends to organize at least 10 medical camps within the next two months to support more patients in need.
Mr. Naidu urged association leaders to expand their efforts by conducting blood donation camps in all mandal headquarters. His call aims to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation among residents in semi-urban and rural areas, fostering a broader culture of giving.
