Chemical Risk: Shampoo & Conditioner Recalled
28 Feb
Summary
- Shampoo and conditioner recalled due to dangerous chemical.
- Product contains prohibited Zinc Pyrithione and allergens.
- Another eye cream recalled for failing SPF protection.

The Pilgrim Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner Set, with product code HS5130 Jul 2025 395.00 1.98, has been subject to a product recall. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) issued the notice due to the presence of Zinc Pyrithione, an ingredient prohibited in cosmetic products. Additionally, the set contains undeclared allergens including hydroxycitronellal, hexyl cinnamal, and limonene, posing a risk of allergic reactions to sensitive consumers.
This recall comes as the product failed to meet Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on Cosmetic Products. Although removed from Amazon and rejected at the UK border, consumers are advised to check their product labels. This incident follows a recent recall of Hello Sunday's The One for Your Eyes Eye Cream SPF 50, which did not provide the advertised SPF protection, potentially increasing sun damage risk.
