A former children's respite centre in Scunthorpe is slated for redevelopment into supported living accommodation. Specialist provider Foresight has submitted plans to convert the unused Cygnets and The Hollies site on Normanby Road into 27 flats. The project aims to offer adults with disabilities an opportunity to live independently.
Foresight's proposal involves creating eight one-bedroom flats at the former Cygnets and 17 at The Hollies, with no external extensions planned. A garage block will also be converted into two additional flats and a manager's office. The charity's chief executive noted that over 50 individuals have been identified as eligible for the new service.
