His parents, Jenna and Warren, partnered with the blood cancer charity DKMS to facilitate the drive. Doctors believe Germany, with its opt-out system for stem cell donation, is the most likely country to yield a compatible match for Leo and others with blood cancer.
The support has been described as the largest single donor drive DKMS has experienced in years, offering significant hope for Leo and emphasizing the critical need for stem cell donors, as blood cancers are the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the UK.
