Danesfield Middle School in Somerset has temporarily closed its doors following a significant outbreak of norovirus among its pupils and staff. The decision was made to prioritize the health and wellbeing of the school community and to prevent further spread of the highly contagious stomach bug.

During the closure, the school premises will undergo a thorough deep clean and disinfection process. Students will transition to remote learning while the site is made safe for their return.
