Savannah Chrisley's $35K Fertility Bill: Insurance Won't Cover

Reality star Savannah Chrisley has disclosed the substantial financial burden of her fertility treatments, estimating the cost at $30,000 to $35,000. She expressed frustration that insurance plans do not cover such procedures, particularly IVF, which she deems medically necessary due to her endometriosis diagnosis. Chrisley, who launched GoodGirlRx to support women's health, has had multiple surgeries for endometriosis, with doctors indicating a less than 5% chance of needing further intervention.

Chrisley shared on the "Chrisley Confessions 2.0" podcast that the cost for the prescription drug portion alone ranges from $3,000 to $8,000. She underwent extensive treatment, including egg retrieval and freezing, as a proactive measure for her future family plans. The "Chrisley Knows Best" star has been open about her struggles with endometriosis since her youth, describing the condition as a "humbling experience" and detailing painful periods that led to emergency surgery and eventual diagnosis.

Previously, Chrisley endured excruciating pain necessitating surgery after an IUD fractured within her uterus. Subsequent treatments and surgeries for endometriosis provided only temporary relief, lasting about six months to a year. A specialized surgeon successfully removed the endometriosis from multiple areas, offering assurance of a minimal chance for recurrence. Chrisley has also spoken about her desire to have children soon, expressing a wish to marry someone older and have a peaceful life, while also indicating a readiness to become a mother soon, even without marriage.
