3 Feb
Summary
- Dozens across 28 states infected with salmonella from supplements.
- 14 hospitalizations reported, no deaths as of January 29th.
- Live it Up and Why Not Natural brands are part of the recall.

A multi-state salmonella outbreak has prompted recalls of Live it Up and Why Not Natural super greens supplements. As of January 29th, 2026, 65 individuals across 28 states have been affected, with 14 requiring hospitalization. No fatalities have been reported in connection with the outbreak. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) traced the illnesses to Live it Up brand supplements, sold on Amazon and the company's website. Live it Up initiated a recall on January 15th, 2026, followed by Why Not Natural on January 28th, 2026, for their Organic Moringa supplements.
The recalled Live it Up products include specific lots of Original and Wild Berry flavored Super Greens powders with expiration dates ranging from August 2026 to January 2028. Why Not Natural's recalled item is their Organic Moringa - Green Superfood capsules, sold with lot # A25G051 and an expiration date of July 2028. Consumers are urged to cease using the products and either discard them or return them for a refund. Cleaning and sanitizing surfaces that may have contacted the supplements is also recommended. Salmonella poisoning symptoms, typically appearing six hours to six days after ingestion, include diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps. While most recover within a week, vulnerable populations like young children, older adults, and those with compromised immune systems may face severe illness.
