Summary
- Salmonella outbreak linked to Live it Up super greens supplements has ended.
- The outbreak caused 97 illnesses and 26 hospitalizations across 32 states.
- Federal health agencies urge consumers to check for recalled supplements.

Federal health authorities have concluded their investigation into a multi-state salmonella outbreak associated with Live it Up brand dietary supplements. The outbreak, traced to "super greens" products sold nationwide on Amazon and the brand's website, has officially been declared over. As of March 17, 2026, a total of 97 individuals across 32 states reported falling ill, leading to 26 hospitalizations. No fatalities were reported in connection with this outbreak.
Recalls for the affected products began on January 15, 2026, with Live it Up voluntarily recalling their items. Subsequently, another brand, Why Not Natural, also recalled one of its supplement products on January 28, 2026. Despite the recalls and products being removed from shelves, federal agencies caution consumers to inspect their homes for any recalled supplements because they possess long shelf lives.
The Live it Up recall specifically includes certain "Super Greens" dietary supplement powders in original and wild berry flavors. Additionally, all stick pack products with expiration dates between August 2026 and January 2028 were included. Why Not Natural's recalled product was their "Organic Moringa - Green Superfood" capsules. Symptoms of salmonella poisoning, such as diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps, typically appear six hours to six days after exposure.
