Stalin's Health Scheme Benefits 24,000+ in Salem

The Nalam Kaakkum Stalin Scheme has significantly impacted Salem district, with 24,219 people benefiting from its medical camps. Tourism Minister R. Rajendran reported that 16 such camps have been held, providing essential health services to a large segment of the population, including specialized tests and expert consultations across various departments.
Launched statewide by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on August 2, 2025, the scheme has reached numerous individuals in Salem. The camps offered extensive medical check-ups, including blood tests for over 19,000 people and ECGs for more than 16,000. Differently-abled identity cards were also distributed to eligible beneficiaries.
Experts from 17 medical departments, such as cardiology, neurology, and dermatology, have been involved, offering comprehensive care. This initiative underscores a commitment to accessible healthcare, ensuring that a broad spectrum of medical needs are addressed within the community.
