Saban Community Clinic will host a special gala at the Beverly Hills Hotel on October 26 to mark its 50th anniversary. The event will honor Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, and David Nevins, former chairman and CEO of Showtime.
Esteemed individuals such as Bela Bajaria of Netflix and Warren Littlefield are chairing the gala, which will feature a performance by Aloe Blacc and hosting by Alex Edelman. Connie Britton will also make an appearance.
Friedlander will receive the Friends Leadership Award, recognizing his work at Amazon MGM. Nevins is set to receive the Lenny Somberg Volunteer Award for his extensive leadership roles in television.
While the gala celebrates a half-century, the clinic itself has a 60-year history in Los Angeles. Originally founded in 1967 as the Los Angeles Free Clinic, it began with volunteers offering free healthcare and has since evolved to serve individuals and families throughout the region.
