15 Nov
Summary
- Robbie Williams says Mounjaro has improved his mental health
- But the weight loss jab has significantly worsened his eyesight
- Williams plans to continue using Mounjaro despite the vision issues

According to a recent report, British singer Robbie Williams has experienced both positive and negative effects from using the weight loss drug Mounjaro. The 51-year-old performer says the medication has had a profound impact on his mental health, providing him with a "lack of mental anguish" that has been "completely and utterly liberating."
Williams, who has been open about his struggles with mental health over the years, explains that the last decade has seen a significant improvement in his overall wellbeing. He now considers himself a "different person" and even enjoys activities like working out and taking care of himself, which was not the case previously.
However, the singer has also faced a concerning side effect from using Mounjaro - a significant deterioration in his eyesight. Williams has noticed that he now struggles to see people clearly while performing on stage, particularly during his song "You're The One." He believes this vision issue is directly linked to the weight loss jabs, rather than simply being a result of aging.
Despite being informed by a fan that their friend had "gone blind" from similar weight loss medications, Williams remains undeterred. He says he will continue using Mounjaro "until the sight in one eye has completely gone." The UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has received nearly 300 reports of eye disorders potentially linked to the drug, with 164 of those claiming the medication has damaged their vision.
While the long-term effects of Mounjaro on eyesight are still being investigated, Williams' experience serves as a cautionary tale about the potential risks associated with these weight loss treatments. As he navigates the tradeoffs between improved mental health and declining vision, the singer's story highlights the importance of closely monitoring the side effects of any new medication.
