3 Dec
Summary
- Select Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches cases recalled due to labeling error.
- Mislabeled inner packs pose severe risk to individuals with peanut allergies.
- Recall impacts 70 cases sold in eight specific U.S. states.

Mondelēz Global LLC has announced a voluntary recall affecting specific cases of Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches. The recall stems from a labeling oversight where some inner snack packs, correctly identified as containing peanuts, may have been mistakenly marked as the cheese variety.
This mislabeling presents a significant health hazard for consumers with peanut allergies, potentially leading to severe or life-threatening reactions. The company is conducting this recall out of an abundance of caution, even though it is not an expansion of a prior recall and is limited to specific "SKU" and "Code Dates" issued in July.
The affected products are identifiable by an "AE Plant Code Only" printed on the packaging. These 70 cases were distributed to consumers in eight U.S. states: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Alabama. Consumers with peanut allergies are urged to discard the product immediately, and concerns can be addressed by contacting Mondelēz Global directly.
