A man's persistent symptoms were initially dismissed by his GP as mere migraines, despite regular visits.
By July 2025, his condition deteriorated, marked by daily sickness and frequent severe headaches. He insisted on an MRI scan.
The scan revealed a haemangioblastoma, an exceptionally rare brain tumor with the potential to spread. Surgeons at Walton Hospital in Liverpool performed a nine-hour operation.
They successfully removed the entire tumor. He will undergo monitoring scans every six months for the next decade.
