Rajasthan is set to significantly expand its mental healthcare infrastructure through the 'Raj-Mamta' program, an initiative under 'Viksit Rajasthan-2047'. This plan includes establishing Mental Health Care Cells in all districts, ensuring local access to counselling and rehabilitation services.
A state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence in Mental Health will be developed in Jaipur, offering advanced treatment and telemedicine facilities. This centre aims to improve access to expert care, particularly for those in remote areas.
The Tele-MANAS program, already active, has provided counselling to over 71,000 individuals via helplines 14416 and 18008914416. The government is also focusing on targeted interventions for young people through school counselling and awareness campaigns.
