The Mukhyamantri Ayushman Aroygya (MAA) Yojana has significantly expanded healthcare access for Rajasthan residents, enabling approximately 30,000 patients to receive free treatment in other states over the past six months. This outbound portability has led to over 5,900 claims, amounting to ₹17 crore, for specialized treatments including heart procedures, cancer surgeries, dialysis, and deliveries.
The inter-State portability feature, activated earlier this year, grants MAA Yojana beneficiaries access to a vast network of over 30,000 government and private hospitals nationwide. This includes prominent institutions like AIIMS Delhi and Medanta. The scheme ensures eligible beneficiaries can avail themselves of cashless treatment up to ₹25 lakh at hospitals empaneled under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY).
Principal Medical and Health Secretary Gayatri Rathore highlighted on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, that the integration of MAA Yojana with PMJAY guarantees free and cashless medical services for patients even outside Rajasthan. With 1.36 crore eligible families in the state, the MAA Yojana covers 2,179 treatment packages for a wide range of conditions, from common ailments to critical illnesses and organ transplants.
