A five-year-old girl in Diva has succumbed to rabies on December 21, approximately a month after being bitten by a stray dog. Her family reported that she received four doses of the anti-rabies vaccine, yet her condition deteriorated significantly after the final dose. This outcome has led to serious questions regarding the efficacy of the treatment administered.

The incident has prompted calls for stringent government inquiry into the rising number of dog bite cases in Diva.
