The state aims to issue health cards to 65 lakh families, covering approximately 3 crore individuals, with 25 lakh cards already distributed. This initiative is part of a broader health reform effort.
The state has also focused on expanding healthcare access through 883 Aam Aadmi Clinics, which have served 1.69 crore people. Preventive healthcare is being enhanced by the 'CM di Yogshala' project, benefiting around 2 lakh individuals daily. Major recruitment drives have added 948 general doctors and 627 super-specialist doctors to the workforce.
Future developments include the establishment of nine new medical colleges, adding 600 MBBS seats and enhancing specialized treatment options. The government is investing Rs 200 crore in new equipment for medical colleges and creating 22 critical care blocks. Services like MRI, CT scans, and maternal and child facilities are being expanded across district hospitals.
Advanced medical procedures, including cochlear implants and organ transplants, are now available. AI-enabled screening programs have detected early-stage cancers and vision issues. The state is also introducing IVF and PET scan facilities in government medical colleges, alongside specialized cardiac and stroke management systems. Mental health support is accessible via the Tele-MANAS helpline.
