The majority of the 207 transplants involved kidney recipients, with 117 individuals receiving new organs. Liver transplants followed with 67, alongside 13 lung and four heart transplants, demonstrating the broad impact of deceased organ donation. Complex multi-organ transplants were also successfully performed.
Analysis revealed that 72% of the donors were male and 28% were female. While 15% of donations were voluntary, the remaining 85% were facilitated through counseling by transplant coordinators. This success underscores the power of awareness and humanitarian service in saving lives.
