Three specialized healthcare centers were inaugurated on Monday at Dr D Y Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre in Pimpri, Pune. These include a multi-organ transplant center, a mother-and-child care center, and an IVF and endoscopy center, designed to provide comprehensive medical services.
The Yashraj Prasad Patil Multi-Organ Transplant Centre of Excellence is equipped for complex transplants and critical care, especially for heart and lung conditions. It aims to offer advanced equipment and dedicated systems for transplant patients.
The Bhagyashree Aai & Gokul Mother & Child Centre will consolidate maternal, neonatal, and pediatric services for comprehensive care throughout pregnancy and childhood. Complementing this, the IVF & Endoscopy Center will focus on reproductive medicine and endoscopic procedures.
These new centers are expected to improve patient access to specialized treatments and reduce the need for inter-hospital travel. The hospital, which performs approximately 50,000 surgeries annually, serves around 11 lakh patients.
