Ram emphasized the importance of organ donation, stating, "What can be greater than giving life to others even after death?" He appealed to all citizens, officials, and employees to register for organ donation, describing it as the "noblest way of giving life after life."
As part of the "Angdaan -- Jeevan Sanjeevan Abhiyan" (Organ Donation Awareness Campaign) conducted across Maharashtra from August 3 to 15, 2025, the PMC organized various initiatives in Pune to promote the cause. These included public lectures, poster exhibitions, pledge walls, tree plantation drives, street plays, competitions, and rallies to raise awareness and dispel myths about organ donation.
The campaign has received an overwhelming response from the citizens, with many coming forward to pledge their organs after death. The civic body's efforts to honor the donor families and inspire more people to join the cause have been widely appreciated.
