Pune Health Officials Demand Urgent Improvements Across Lagging Districts

In a move to strengthen public health services, the Deputy Director of Health Services for the Pune region, Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, held a comprehensive review meeting on November 13, 2025. The meeting was attended by district civil surgeons, senior health officials, and representatives from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).
The review focused on assessing the performance of ongoing national and state health programs, including immunization, maternal and child health, non-communicable disease screening, and communicable disease control. While Satara district's performance was found to be satisfactory, Pune and Solapur districts were identified as lagging behind in several key indicators.
