Minister Hasan Mushrif emphasized the crucial role of private institutions in providing quality preventive oral healthcare and conducting awareness campaigns.
Minister Mushrif highlighted the evolving landscape of dentistry, driven by AI and digital tools. He noted that the state government expanded the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana to cover dental treatments for oral surgeries, making them more accessible. This initiative is particularly significant given Maharashtra reported 14,704 oral cancer cases in 2025, underscoring the need for enhanced oral health services and early detection.
