The protesters remain steadfast in their demands, seeking Rs 1 crore in compensation, disciplinary action against the involved doctors, and a thorough high-level investigation into Saini's death. They have threatened to escalate their demonstrations if their demands are not met.
In response to the mounting pressure, the health department has expedited its inquiry. Two separate committees have been established: a six-member local committee and a three-member committee at the Jaipur zone level. Both panels are tasked with submitting their reports within three days. Hospital records have been requested for the investigation.
Anjali Saini was admitted to the hospital on July 12 and underwent a caesarean delivery on July 14. Her condition worsened, leading to her referral to Jaipur, where she passed away on the night of July 15 during treatment. While her family alleges medical negligence, hospital officials attribute her death to severe anemia and post-delivery bleeding that could not be controlled.
Representatives of the Yadav Samaj and local medicine traders have submitted a memorandum urging authorities to await the completion of a fair inquiry before taking any action against the doctors.
