Pauline Quirke's Son Treks 87 Miles to Honor Her Dementia Journey

In November 2025, the son of beloved actress Pauline Quirke is set to embark on a 87-mile trek to honor his mother's dementia diagnosis. Quirke, best known for her role as Sharon Theodopolopodous in the BBC sitcom Birds Of A Feather, announced her retirement from acting earlier this year due to her condition.

Charlie Quirke, Pauline's 31-year-old son, will undertake the five-day challenge to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's Research UK. During the trek, he will retrace the steps of his mother's life, visiting significant places from her past before reaching the family's home in Buckinghamshire to spend Christmas together.

Charlie expressed his excitement about the trek, stating it is what his "selfless" mother wants him to do. He aims to learn more about Pauline's life and carry her memories with him as he completes the challenge. The trek will start from Chigwell, Essex, where Birds Of A Feather was set, and take Charlie through Greater London, Surrey, and Berkshire, including old family homes, studios, and other important locations.
