On Monday, March 30, 2026, Patna High Court Chief Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo inaugurated expanded facilities at the State dispensary located within the high court premises. These new services include free X-ray, ECG, and eye check-ups, alongside physiotherapy and drug counters.
The upgraded dispensary will provide comprehensive healthcare for high court judges, officials, staff, and lawyers. Specialized medical professionals, including a skin specialist, pediatrician, and homoeopathy doctor, will be available daily. Specific specialists like a Gynaecologist, Physician, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Cardiologist, and Ophthalmologist will attend to patients on designated days of the week.
Lawyer associations have welcomed the enhancements, noting the addition of an X-ray machine, a physiotherapy center, and free medicine distribution. A unique feature allows users to scan a QR code to check the availability of medicines at the center. The extended facilities aim to provide accessible and specialized medical attention to the entire high court community.
