In Mumbai, Meera and Manoj Dwivedi transformed their grief over their son Anant's passing into the Anant Dwivedi Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to youth mental health awareness. Anant, who died in June 2025 after a documentation issue prevented him from boarding a flight, lived by the motto "Maze karo (have fun) today, tomorrow and always."
The foundation, established in December 2025, brings mental health education to schools and colleges through a team of counselors. They provide confidential support cards for students facing issues like academic pressure or social anxieties, even intervening in cases of bullying and child marriage.
Beyond counseling, the foundation supports marginalized children with scholarships in 25 schools and celebrates 'Anant Day' on the 14th of each month at local orphanages with sports and essentials.
A mental health helpline manned by trained volunteers is currently being finalized. For Meera and Manoj, every young life they support serves as a tribute to their son Anant.
