Summary

- Family urges others to learn the deadly cancer's warning signs.

Andrzej Bielecki, a cherished father figure, tragically died in February 2023, merely six weeks after receiving a diagnosis of advanced pancreatic cancer. For several years preceding his diagnosis, Bielecki experienced symptoms such as acid reflux and indigestion, which were initially treated with simple remedies.
By August 2022, a dull stomach ache emerged, and despite multiple doctor visits, his condition worsened. A hiatus hernia was identified, but his pain persisted. By Christmas Eve 2022, he developed jaundice and significant pain, leading to a hospital visit where a blocked bile duct was discovered.
An MRI scan on January 9, 2023, confirmed advanced pancreatic cancer that had spread, offering no treatment options. The family faced the devastating news that he had only six months to live. Despite his grim prognosis, Bielecki focused on spending quality time with loved ones.
His final weeks included trips and simple joys, though his health rapidly declined. He passed away in mid-February 2026. His daughters are now advocating for greater awareness of pancreatic cancer's warning signs, emphasizing that it is often diagnosed too late.
