Paderu Medical College Secures 100 MBBS Seats for 2026-27

The Government Medical College in Paderu will receive 100 MBBS seats for the 2026-27 academic year, following approval from the National Medical Commission. This announcement was made by Minister for Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, Satya Kumar Yadav.
The Minister had previously expressed dissatisfaction over the loss of 50 seats for the current academic year at the same institution, citing poor coordination among officials. Following discussions with the Union Health Minister, the NMC granted the seats for the subsequent academic year.
In addition to this, Minister Yadav directed the Director of Medical Education to ensure admissions commence at Adoni, Markapur, Madanapalle, and Pulivendula for 2026-27. He also stressed the importance of doctor responsibility and directed strict action against negligence, while urging vigilance in managing Scrub Typhus cases.
