Construction has commenced on the Osborne Park Hospital expansion, set to be a vital resource for expectant mothers in Perth's northern suburbs. This development comes as the state transitions its main maternity hospital to Murdoch in the south.
The expansion plan, unveiled via renders, features two new buildings adding 70 beds. These facilities will include expanded women and baby care, a family birth centre, obstetrics theatres, and outpatient clinics.
This significant undertaking is projected to be finalized in 2029. It forms part of the $1.8 billion allocated for the new women's and babies' hospital also under construction in Murdoch, which is expected to open its doors in the same year.
