Oklahoma Health Officials Warn of Measles Exposure

Oklahoma's Department of Health has announced the state's first measles case in more than six months. The case was identified in Norman, and health officials are alerting the public to a potential exposure event.
Individuals may have been exposed at Logie's on the Corner, a bar located at 749 Asp Ave. in Norman, during the late hours of January 24 and early morning of January 25. This is the first reported measles infection in Oklahoma since June.
Officials confirmed that the infected individual was unvaccinated. This brings the total number of measles cases reported in Oklahoma to 21, with 18 confirmed and all but one involving unvaccinated individuals. The Health Department recommends that anyone potentially exposed and lacking immunity through vaccination or prior infection should self-isolate for 21 days.
