As of November 13th, 2025, Novant Health, a leading healthcare provider in North and South Carolina, has announced the promotion of two executives to new roles within the organization. These appointments are intended to drive innovation and elevate the patient experience across Novant's extensive network of nearly 900 locations, including hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities.
CJ Atkinson has been named the senior vice president of physician enterprise operations and network development. In this role, Atkinson will work closely with Novant's acute and primary care operations, as well as specialty institutions, to ensure seamless, high-value support is delivered throughout the system. John Gizdic, Novant's executive vice president and chief operating officer, expressed confidence in Atkinson's ability to help recruit physicians and oversee the development of the organization's network and services.
