Creekview Middle School, located in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, has temporarily closed due to an outbreak of norovirus. The closure, which took place on Friday, was a decision made collaboratively with Tarrant County Public Health. This action followed an extensive disinfection of the campus on Thursday, undertaken in an effort to curb the spread of the virus, but additional cases emerged.
The school district emphasized that the health and safety of students, staff, and families were paramount in making the closure decision. Tarrant County Public Health supported the single day of closure to allow for thorough disinfection according to public health guidelines. All other schools within the district remained operational. Creekview Middle School is anticipated to resume normal operations on the following Monday.
