25 Apr
Summary
- 201 medical camps to be set up across Noida on May 1.
- Free consultations, surgeries, and medicines offered to workers.
- Creches to be introduced in factories lacking the facility.

In a significant outreach effort, Noida's district administration has announced extensive healthcare services for industrial workers. On May 1, coinciding with International Workers' Day, 201 medical camps will be established across the district. All government and 22 private hospitals will offer free consultations, diagnostic tests, surgeries, and medicines to workers.
The administration will also prioritize the introduction of creche facilities in factories and industrial units that currently lack them. This measure aims to support working parents, particularly women, by providing safe childcare options near their workplaces.
Services at the May 1 camps will encompass general health checkups, dental care, eye screenings, gynecological consultations, and various screenings for conditions like cancer, TB, and HIV. District Magistrate Medha Roopam emphasized that this is an ongoing effort to build a culture of preventive healthcare for the workforce.
