30 Jan
Summary
- Two young girls received successful, minimally invasive heart defect closures.
- This marks the first non-surgical closure at a government facility in the district.
- The new cardiac catheterisation lab uses advanced 3D imaging technology.

Two young girls, aged two and six, recently underwent successful, minimally invasive procedures to close heart defects at Noida's Children's PGI. This milestone marks the first non-surgical closure of such defects at any government facility in the district.
The children are currently under ICU observation following the interventions. Doctors opted for a catheter-based approach, inserting a thin tube to seal the defects, instead of traditional open-heart surgery.
