Noah's Plea: End Assisted Dying Debate
25 May
Summary
- Terminally ill teen advocates for assisted dying bill.
- He endured chemotherapy and faces an inoperable brain tumor.
- Noah urges MPs to prioritize suffering over personal views.

A terminally ill teenager, Noah, diagnosed in 2021 with an inoperable brain stem tumor, has become a vocal advocate for the assisted dying bill. After enduring 166 weeks of chemotherapy and suffering severe side effects, Noah decided he could no longer continue the treatment.
Appearing in a campaign by photographer Rankin for Dignity in Dying, Noah shared a powerful video urging MPs to pass the assisted dying bill. He pleaded with them to consider the immense suffering of terminally ill individuals, describing the dehumanizing experience of dying in agony and the distress it causes families.
Noah, from Chepstow, Wales, has also raised significant funds for charities and established a holiday home for families facing serious illnesses. Despite his health challenges, he has secured a place to study acting at Falmouth University this September, with his mother, Shelley, holding onto hope for a medical breakthrough.
Shelley emphasized the difficult journey, expressing her unwillingness to see her son suffer as she has witnessed others do. She questioned whether those who blocked the bill have experienced such profound personal loss.
