Massive Health Drive: Over 7 Lakh Identified for Care

The Health Department, through its "Nalam Kaakkum Stalin" (NKS) scheme, has successfully organized 1,256 health camps. These camps have been instrumental in identifying over seven lakh individuals who are now receiving necessary medical treatment.
The initiative provided a wide array of 17 different medical services. Significant health concerns were identified, including 222 individuals diagnosed with cancer and 1,626 persons requiring care for heart diseases. The camps also led to the new diagnosis of 1,50,708 individuals with diabetes and 4,28,454 with hypertension, placing them under medical supervision. Health Minister Ma. Subramanian reported that the NKS scheme has benefited 18,52,561 persons overall.
