Despite acknowledging NHM staff as the 'backbone of the health system,' employees state that the government has made no serious efforts to address their demands. Talks with the health minister have reportedly yielded no progress, leaving the employees frustrated with unfulfilled promises. The UT-level coordination committee of the Jammu and Kashmir National Health Mission Employees Association organized the protest, drawing participation from doctors, paramedical staff, management personnel, and those working under various NHM schemes, including the NTEP.
