26 Feb
Summary
- Clinic rated outstanding by health regulator following previous concerns.
- Dr. Newson's clinic specializes in menopause and hormonal health.
- 88% of patients reported positive experiences with the clinic's services.

Newson Health Ltd, a clinic established by television menopause doctor Dr. Louise Newson, has been awarded an "outstanding" rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
This top rating follows an inspection initiated due to prior concerns regarding the clinic's services and the prescription of hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
The CQC assessment, conducted in October of last year, found the clinic to be "performing exceptionally well" and "committed to supporting women with care that met their needs."
Previous allegations concerning high HRT doses emerged after a BBC Panorama investigation approximately 18 months ago, prompting the CQC inspection.
Founded in 2018, the clinic specializes in treating menopause, perimenopause, and other hormonal health conditions for women, offering both in-person and virtual consultations.
Patient feedback contributed significantly to the review, with 88% of 562 patients surveyed reporting positive experiences, and many stating their quality of life had improved.
Despite the overwhelmingly positive feedback, some patients did express concerns to the CQC regarding high oestrogen prescriptions, side effects, and appointment costs.
Dr. Newson expressed pride in the recognition, stating it reflects the "standard of care our patients receive and deserve."
Dr. Rebecca Lewis, co-founder, added that the outcome highlights the "professionalism, expertise and dedication of the entire team."
