Northampton General Hospital is enhancing its patient care capacity with the upcoming opening of Moulton Ward. Situated in the hospital's former Intensive Care and High Dependency unit, the ward is expected to open later this year.
The name 'Moulton' was selected for the new ward following a poll among hospital staff, honoring the hospital's practice of naming wards after local places. Councillor David Aarons of Moulton Parish Council expressed delight at the honour.
Sarah Noonan, chief operating officer for University Hospitals of Northamptonshire, highlighted that the ward will significantly improve the patient experience during times of high demand, ensuring more timely and effective care.
