A new Advanced Eye Care Centre has been established at Swami Dayanand Hospital in East Delhi, aiming to enhance local access to specialized ophthalmic services. These advanced tools are critical for the early diagnosis and effective treatment of prevalent eye conditions such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
The inauguration was led by Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh, who highlighted the civic body's dedication to elevating healthcare standards for all citizens of Delhi. He stated that the establishment of this center is a significant stride toward providing timely, affordable, and high-quality medical care. The mayor also reviewed other hospital facilities, including the Lactation Management Unit and ICU, and inspected the Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy machine.
Senior officials also directed hospital authorities to prepare for heatwave conditions and establish an ORS corner to prevent dehydration and manage potential diarrhea cases.
