A free health check-up camp was successfully organized for 110 women pourakarmikas of the Mysuru City Corporation's Zone 9. The event, held in association with Dr. Jyothi's Healthcare Hospital, aimed to safeguard the well-being of these women sanitation workers.
During the camp, a comprehensive suite of medical tests, collectively valued at around ₹5,000, was conducted free of charge. These included essential screenings such as complete haemogram, renal and liver function tests, lipid profile, random blood sugar, thyroid function test, and HbA1c. Furthermore, Pap smear and ECG tests were also performed.
Beyond diagnostic tests, attendees received valuable consultations with a gynaecologist and a physician. Dr. Jyothi, the chief doctor of the hospital, personally examined each of the 110 pourakarmikas, offering individual counselling and tailored health advice to support their ongoing health management.
