This realization, coupled with the physical toll on her joints and emotional distress, motivated her to seek solutions. After unsuccessful attempts with various diets, McCarthy consulted her GP in late 2021.
Her GP recommended weight loss injections, and in March 2022, she began using Ozempic. Alongside the medication, she focused on nutrition, exercise, and therapy to tackle the root causes of her weight gain. By early 2023, she successfully tapered off the injections and has maintained her weight loss, enjoying improved health and a better relationship with her body.
